There was a long lull in posts here. Where did I go?
I took a full time job at the Northwest Maritime Center in Port Townsend. I was the Programs Operation Manager, and helped maintain their 60 boat fleet and associated gear, purchased most all of the necessary new gear, and helped with the adult and kid maritime educational programs.
It was a great learning experience, and I was on the water a lot, but it all came at the expense of my own boating adventures and boat work. Although I did manage to build the new boat pictured above, with most of my spare time and vacations in 2025.
It was time for a change. After leaving the job I had a good long think about what I wanted to do next.
And what I came to should not be at all surprising. I am going to go on many small boat explorations of the Pacific Northwest waters I love so much. I also decided to pursue photography passionately again, in combination with these trips. You can read some updates about my history with the ocean and photography on my about page here.
